Unexpected Find!

This was highly unexpected! My friends spotted this
on the way to my house on one of the bushes! They called me to
come with the camera and took this.

This is a baby Oriental Whip Snake.

We think that it is only hours or days old! We kept looking
around for more baby snakes but instead......

We found of what we think as the mother Oriental Whip snake.

Nice blurring of the front leaves!

This snake is just about 1m long.

The baby snake moving to another bush. It is about 10-15cm long.

We tried putting the snake to the ground but it
climbed back up to the nearby bushes.

We tried another attempt to place it on the ground and succeeded.
After this last picture, it moved back to the forest.

  1. I've spotted about 5 uncommon Big-Eye Green Whip Snakes in SG but not a single common Oriental Whip. Unusual isn't it!?!?! Great shots btw. And lucky you got to photograph both the juvenile and adult.
