Sunset From The Backyard

I spent Christmas in a small town up in the mountains called Puncak.
I had 2 evening there, both gave me amazing sunset view.


On the first day, the sky was orange pinkish

The sunset on the second day was more spectacular

It had more colour, red from the sunset, blue from the sky and yellow from the light pollution

Big Blue Carpenter Bee

One morning, I was walking in the garden when I saw something out of the ordinary.
It looks like a blue Carpenter Bee.

I still do not have an ID for the insect.

Fake Bokeh!

I was sitting in the boot of the car on my way home when it started to rain.
Don't ask me why I was sitting behind!
I decided to snap some shots to kill time.


The raindrops on the windshield made bokeh balls

Although the picture does not make any sense, I quite like the way it turn out

The wet surface reflected light from the vehicle into my lens

Soda Bottles

I was having my lunch in an Bistro in a mall, when I notice something very special.

This bottles of soda are a blast from the past

My cousin said that it was around since she was young, she is 20 now

There are different flavours

Coffee soda anyone?

These bottles of soda are rare even in Indonesia

Its really refreshing too!

Cactus

There is a small city surrounded by mountains in west Java called Lembang.

The cool temperature makes it a ideal place for nurseries.

People from all over west Java would come here to buy plants to decorate their home.

Plants of all shape and sizes can be found in Lembang, but I found myself attracted to cactus

Cactus flowers are said to be the most beautiful in the plant kingdom

A more greenish cactus also in bloom!

I really like this picture as our eyes are just brought to the centre by underexposing the shot

The black one in the centre reminds me of my uncle's hair
