An afternoon in Chinese Garden

Decided to lay off the forest for a while. And decided to
see some sights in Chinese Garden

This lizard was just above the grasses and it didn't even move when
we approached it.

Aw.. This was an awesome sight. A Red Eared Slider sleeping. At first
we thought it was dead, but we nudged it a bit and it moved and went back to sleep
:)

A couple of shots of a tortoise sun-bathing.

A Chinese Pond Heron, ID still needed. Right after this was taken, it flew off. So
we only manage to take this picture.

A Malayan Water Monitor! Yes! This is one of the highlights for this
trip, we took several pics of this baby
until it decided to hide in a nearby bush.

The tongue is very long. Got one lucky shot of it right here ^.^

While taking a break, a Changeable Lizard just zoomed past us.
we followed it under a bush and took its picture.

A green dove? I wonder what it REALLY
is.

Ah! A Grey Heron! This beauty swooped in while we were
taking picture of the dove(The pic above). It was a very
beautiful sight.

It stood at around 1m+. Probably the same height as me.

A Stork-Billed Kingfisher. It was stubborn enough not to look at the camera.

But is cooperative enough not too fly away.

Another lizard! This place is teaming with them!
But this is the last one that we saw. Great post too ^.^

An unknown bird. It has a crest behind its head.

And finally! The sunset as we are about to leave the place.
I was hoping to stay until nightfall but I need to
go to an appointment.
